Escape to Willowbrook Woods

You are playing as a group of creatures inhabiting a forest. You once lived in a ‘harmony’ of sorts, but greedy humans have purchased the land your homes are on and have begun to destroy it (most likely to build a capitalist commune for NFT bros). Fortunately, thanks to the large sinkholes hidden under the land and stabilised only by the tree roots, they won’t get very far in their plans. Unfortunately for you, they get far enough that you are now on the hunt for a new home.

You have all heard of a beautiful safe haven called the Willowbrook Woods, a nature reserve not too far away. You will have to follow a dangerous route to get there, traversing many obstacles and avoiding hazards as you try to make your way to your new home. It is not certain that all of you will make it. But the alternative is far worse. 

This simple one shot using the Caltrop Core system created by https://titanomachyrpg.itch.io/ is inspired by beloved 90s cartoons such as 'The Animals of Farthing Wood' or 'Watership Down'.  In this game we tried to recreate the themes of the cartoon - love, friendship, tragedy, and environmental issues.
