Fey Wanderer

Fey Wanderer is a rules-light game in which you play fey creatures questing in the fey realm. In the game, you pick a fey creature that you would like to play who is part of a quest to retrieve a treasure, However in order to do so, you must overcome a number of challenges. There are at least three challenges in a game of Fey Wanderer, a terrain obstacle in which you must face the magical land of the fey realm, a social obstacle in which you find yourself interacting with other magical denizens and finally the guardian fey, a powerful and ancient fey creature who is guarding the treasure you seek. However, you may have to succeed in more than three based on your success in individual challenges, as well as based on how difficult your GM wishes to make the overall adventure. You use a combination of your physical skills and magical abilities to overcome your challenges.

Fey Wanderer uses a simple open magic system in which you create your spells as you need them based on spheres of magic and words of power you have chosen. It does not use a predefined list of spells meaning the only limit is your imagination.

Fey Wanderer was designed to be a very simple game that you can run within twenty minutes of having read the rules. With extremely simple character creation and a quick game set up for GMs it is the perfect game for when some of your players can't make it but you don't want to cancel game night.

The easy to understand rules and whimsical nature of the game however also makes it a perfect game for all ages. If you are looking to introduce young children to gaming Fey Wanderer is a perfect place to start.
